Kristjan Eyjolfsson had me swooning over his jewels when he was one of the resident jewellers at the Gems of Greenwich pop up boutique.  I was beyond excited to see Kristjan’s new collection and he did not disappoint.  The Gullfoss collection is named after and inspired by the popular Icelandic  waterfall attraction.  Gullfoss when translated into english means Golden Falls  which is fully encapsulated by Kristjan’s use of shapes and the  featherlight engraved gold which is highlighted with mircoset diamonds.

IMG_0911As you know I’m a big fan of stacking whether it be your bracelets or rings. So Kristjan and I had a play creating some combos with these rings from the Embrace collection.  The rings hug one another perfectly to create a stunning statement ring.

Fine layers of enamel on beds of 18ct Gold and Silver make up Sheila McDonald’s colourful collection of brooches, earrings and necklaces.  The detailing in Sheila’s pieces is exquisite and you feel like you are wearing a finely illustrated piece of art.

It’s clear to see why Irmgard Frauscher has been awarded the Goldsmith’s Craftsmanship and Design Award for the last two years.  Inspired by nature I am loving her Sterling Silver bracelet and necklace set.   The Gold plating inside the tubular silver piece highlight the dynamic nature of Irmgard’s designs perfectly.

Irmgard’s husband Mohammed Janbek is also a jeweller and makes these gorgeous geometric statement rings.

maya

Sometimes you need to strip things back to the bare minimum to create the greatest statement of all.  Maya Selway’s range of elegant luxury jewels demonstrates that the quietest of jewellery can cause the largest impact.
